Holiday Window Painting Fund Raiser In order to raise funds for more STAR w/teens projects, STAR w/teens held a holiday window painting fund raising event This was a great way for people to be able to contribute to STAR w/teens while giving the kids a chance to have a lot of fun and make STAR w/teens visible out in the community. Businesses and individuals contracted STAR w/teens to paint festive holiday decorations on their window, and then made a generous contribution for STAR w/teens ongoing efforts! Historical Downtown Melbourne STAR w/teens recently completed a new project in the historic area of downtown Melbourne. A local antique shop owner commissioned the teens to beautify the side of her building and brighten up the area. Surfside Playhouse (STAR w/teens Summer Camp) The mission of Surfside Players, Inc., is to encourage appreciation of the theater; to foster and train talent, and to produce dramatic performances for the entertainment of the community; to provide instruction for both adult and youth in all the arts and sciences connected with the theatre and to teach acting, pantomime, dancing, and singing. Wuesthoff YMCA The mission of the YMCA is to "put Christian principles into practice through programs that build healthy spirit, mind and body for all." STAR teens exercised mind, body, and spirit, and produced a wonderful undersea mural in the pool area at the Wuesthoff YMCA! |

The Haven The Haven is a licensed temporary residential emergency shelter home for abused, abandoned, and neglected children — newborns to age nine. STAR teens turned a plain stone wall into a fanciful park and playground! |
